James Webb Space Telescope

1. Infrared Vision for Deep Space Exploration :Uses infrared light to see through cosmic dust and detect distant galaxies, exoplanets, and stellar nurseries.

2. Massive Gold-Coated Mirror :Features a 6.5-meter primary mirror, offering unprecedented resolution and sensitivity for capturing detailed cosmic images.

3. Peering into the Early Universe :Capable of detecting light from the first galaxies formed over 13.5 billion years ago, providing insights into the universe's origins.

4. Launched on : December 25, 2021, by an Ariane 5 Rocket from Europe's Spaceport in French Guiana, a contribution from the European Space Agency (ESA).

5. Position :Located 1.5 million km from Earth, at the second Lagrange point (L2), ensuring stable and unobstructed observations in deep space.

Hubble Space Telescope

1. First Major Space-Based Optical Telescope :Launched in 1990, Hubble revolutionized astronomy by providing crystal-clear images from outside Earth's atmosphere.

2. Observes in Multiple Wavelengths :Provided breathtaking images like the Hubble Deep Field, revealing thousands of ancient galaxies billions of light-years away.

3. Famous for Capturing Deep Space Images :Capable of detecting light from the first galaxies formed over 13.5 billion years ago, providing insights into the universe's origins.

4. Launched on April 24, 1990, by Space Shuttle Discovery deployed from NASA

5. Position :Located in low Earth orbit (~547 km altitude)

Voyager 1 Telescope

1. Farthest Human-Made Object from Earth :Voyager 1 is the most distant spacecraft, traveling beyond 24 billion km (15 billion miles) from Earth and still transmitting data.

2. Launched on September 5, 1977, by NASA :Sent into space aboard a Titan-Centaur rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, to explore the outer planets.

3. First Spacecraft to Enter Interstellar Space :In 2012, Voyager 1 crossed the heliopause, the boundary where the Sun's influence ends, entering interstellar space.

4. 5. Carries the Golden Record : Equipped with a gold-plated phonograph record, containing sounds, music, and messages from Earth, intended for any extraterrestrial life it may encounter.

Spitzer Space Telescope

1. Infrared Telescope for Space Exploration :Spitzer specialized in infrared astronomy, allowing it to peer through cosmic dust and reveal hidden celestial objects like exoplanets, galaxies, and nebulae.

2. Launched on August 25, 2003, by NASA :Carried into space aboard a Delta II rocket from Cape Canaveral, Florida, as part of NASA’s Great Observatories program.

3. First Spacecraft to Enter Interstellar Space :Played a crucial role in detecting exoplanet atmospheres, mapping the Milky Way's structure, and observing some of the oldest galaxies.

4. Operated from an Earth-Trailing Orbit : Unlike Hubble, Spitzer orbited the Sun in a unique Earth-trailing orbit to reduce heat interference for its infrared sensors.

5. Decommissioned on January 30, 2020 : After over 16 years of groundbreaking discoveries, Spitzer was retired when its coolant ran out, limiting its ability to detect faint infrared signals.

Chandra X-ray Observatory

1. Most Powerful X-ray Telescope :Chandra is NASA’s flagship X-ray observatory, designed to detect high-energy radiation from black holes, neutron stars, and supernovae.

2. Launched on July 23, 1999, by Space Shuttle Columbia :One of the heaviest payloads ever carried by a space shuttle.

3. Orbits Far Above Earth :Unlike Hubble, Chandra orbits in a highly elliptical path, reaching 140,000 km (87,000 miles) away, allowing it to avoid Earth's X-ray-absorbing atmosphere.

4. Captured Stunning Images of Black Holes & Supernovae : Provided detailed observations of cosmic phenomena like the Crab Nebula, the supermassive black hole in M87, and colliding galaxy clusters.

5. Still Operational After Over 20 Years : Despite being designed for 5 years, Chandra has continued operating for over two decades, delivering invaluable insights into the violent universe.
